The Core Skills Focus Organization (CSFO) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable organization managed by highly qualified members of Afghan team for developing and conducting community based skill development with main focus on; Core Skill Focus Organization (CSFO) is a firm of professional management and training organization and is led by Faisal Jamal (MD, BCS BBA). The training and consulting firm is working since 2006 and has successfully implemented Capacity training, assessment, feasibility study Vocational Training projects from NSDP, DAI/LGCD/USAID- Tawanmandi/British Council, Embassy, DAI, UNOPS,UNICEF, UNHCR, GIZ, , SCA , AWDP,of Afghanistan etc. during last eight years of its operations. CSFO is registered with the Ministry of Economic of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan under the article of 23[1] In order to provide legal position and operation framework for the implementation of development measures in consistent with the policy and requirements of Afghan law and policy. In order to facilitate the implementation of project operational activities, the project harmonized and regularly coordinates with the concerned governmental and non governmental institutions operating across Afghanistan.

The organization inception phase initiated in 2008 with an indebted study of livelihoods analysis in three zones of Afghanistan in order to assess the existing livelihoods strategy and needs of target communities in the project target area. Based on the recommendations and outputs of the study, the project decision making group conducted a joint workshop and order to formulate policy, concept and strategy for the implementation of project activities.  Key lesson learnt and experiences from other poverty stricken and post-conflict countries applicable within the existing situation and livelihoods system of eastern Northern and Southern Afghanistan are discussed and integrated in the concept.
